Mel Broussard

Mel Broussard spent 20+ years doing the corporate gig and then left to pursue music full time. "I have always believed that music is passion as is all art. Listen for a while if you wish.. I hope this music lifts your spirit to a joyous place". This statement tells you what she is all about. It is pasted all over her social media sites. She writes music about what inspires her. Perhaps it is a current event or maybe an impression from a place she has visited. "Art is about making a statement.. if it reaches a place in the soul of the artist then the artist can communicate that to the audience. Whatever moves us.. it makes us angry, it makes us happy or it makes us sad. The job of the artist is to awaken in others a response to that communication. Whether we paint, sculpt, dance, write music, write fiction.. it is all the same. We make a statement about the human condition."
