Mejikpay
Mejikpay is an Alternative Rock/Brit rock band that comes from East of Jakarta, Indonesia.
We mainly play as a Tribute band to Oasis, Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher High Flying Birds.Band/artist history
Mejikpay was born in 2012 with the name There and Then. The Band name There and then comes from one of the gigs of Oasis, a legendary British rock band from the 90's. We choose that name because we love their style and musics.
There and then Consist of:
- Kalam (Vocal),
- Bayu (Gitar/Vocal),
- Alex (Gitar),
- Dendi (Bass),
- Nick (Drum).
We then decided to be an Oasis tribute band. We finally join with an Indonesian Oasis Community called AOIR (Indonesian Oasis Alliance). AOIR at that time was still a small and common music community, which turning into a big music community for Oasis and British pop/rock lover.
AOIR then makes a little organization for making an event or a small gigs related to Oasis. Every time they made an event or a gig, we always invited. As time goes by, and because of we always played on Oasis on other musical community makes us thinks more into a professional state of mind of becoming a professional Oasis Tribute band in Jakarta. We also begin to write our own music material.
On 2015 we have a bad situation which was our vocalist Kalam left the band because of the difference perception regarding the vision and the mission of the band.That makes Bayu step up to be the new Vocalist, and The Guitar section which is left by him re-placed by Fani, a former guitarist of The Fame/The Whole Family Delight/Arkajiva, which also an Oasis Fan boy. On the early of 2016 we changed our name to "Mejikpay". The name comes from on of Oasis songs called "Magic Pie" that comes from the third album called Be Here Now.
We changed the words to Mejikpay because we thinks the pronunciation will be difficult and the words itself really suits to Indonesian language.
The band member of Mejikpay consist of:

- Fani (Guitar/Vocal),
- Alex (Guitar),
- Dendi (Bass),
- Nick (Drum).
We then continue to play at various gigs and music event as an Oasis Tribute band. But we don't forget that we have our own music and style and begin to write our own songs and materials which is a mix of 90's British pop/rock with a modern touch of Rock n Roll. We wishes and hope to entertain and bring back the memories to all of the 90's British pop/rock lovers.Have you performed in front of an audience?Our Most Special Memories are Playing Live by the Sea concert from Oasis on Stardeli, Track by Track like the original concert.
