Nico S. aka Matt van Doom
Der verrückte Matt (aka Dj Nico in den 90zigern) hat sich frühzeitig für die elektronische Musik interessiert und machte seine ersten Erfahrungen in Sachen auflegen zuhause an 2 Pitchbaren-CD Playern. Nach und nach legte er in diversen Jugendclubs (unter anderen im legendären Future Club in in Hohenschönhausen) auf, wo auch vernünftiges Equipment bereit gestellt wurde. Er erkannte schnell, das auflegen sein Ding ist und mixte sich durch diverse private Partys. Nebenbei mixte er einige Mix CDs für Freunde um sich selbst zu promoten, der Erfolg zahlte sich schon nach kurzer Zeit aus, denn die CDs gingen weg wie warme Semmeln.
Band/artist history
Matt van Doom entdeckte für sich das Produzieren wobei sein erstes Musikprogramm auf der Playstation 1 "MUSIC 2000" war und die Tracks sehr Melancholisch angehaucht waren. Legendär ist sein Track Namens "Heavenly HYMN", das unter Freunden der absolute Burner und Ohrwurm wurde. Dennoch hat der Track es nie geschafft, an die Öffentlichkeit zu gelangen ("Bis jetzt,oben bei Aktuell als Download"), da er ausschließlich nur für Freunde produziert wurde. Nico erkannte schnell, das MUSIC 2000 an seine Grenzen kam wo er immer mehr von hier abforderte und so probierte er weitere Programme aus bis er zu Fruity Loops kam und er seine Tracks auch endlich auf der Plattform "MyOwnMusic" der Öffentlichkeit vorstellen konnte. Niemals hätte er gedacht, das seine arbeit so gut ankommen würden, das sie sogar auf Platz 1. stehen würden.
