Greetings and thank you for visiting my soundclick page! My name is Marley Montano, and I perform and produce hip-hop music under the emcee alias, "The Messenger." I have been both hosting and judging emcee and breakdance competitions for the past 10 years and I was one of the founding members of an organization known as, The Hip-Hop Collective. In addition to my solo career, I have been members of such Florida-based hip-hop & funk fusion bands as, Voice of the People and Semi-Soul. Currently, I am producing music for several talented hip-hop artists and bands, and of course recording new material of my own. Your musical influences
I'll name a few hip hop specific ones really quick: KRS-ONE, Black Thought, Masta Ace, Big L, Common Sense, , De La... There are others, but these are the biggest influences as far as emcee's are concerned.What equipment do you use?
APC40 with Ableton Live 8, Korg KP3, Reason 4, Logic 9, Pro Tools 8. KRK Rockit 8's with KRK 10" sub. Beyerdynamic DT-770's. Sputnik condenser mic. Akai MPK25, Korg PadKontrol and a few other cool midi controllers laying around. On a Mac, running Snow Leopard.Anything else?
