The fellas were in full swing and full voice as the jam continued. That's Ted on a Harmony acoustic guitar, Mark playing the Grinnell Bros. spinet piano, and Bill doing the vocal histrionics.

Mark was enjoying having the house to himself one fine August evening in 1976. After having recorded a solo version of Elton John's "Rocket Man," a knock came on the front door. Standing there were Bill Ryan and Ted Montgomery with Ted's guitar. Jam!

A couple of minutes of a typical weekday at the Ryan household, circa 1972. That's oldest brother Bob seeking a baseball mitt, Jim barking orders at sister Sandy, little 4-yr-old John blabbering, and Bill marveling at the $ that can be made umpiring.

Mark and Buddy went to a carnival at the Pontiac Mall. When it was time to leave, there was a mixup about where the boys would be picked up by Mark's mom. The boys called Buddy's mom when they couldn't find Mark's mom, leading to confusion and upset.

Eleven-year-old Mark and 10-year-old Buddy play "Underwearman" in the den of Mark's house at 1937 Wakerobin, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Mark's mom, suggesting outdoor play more appropriate on the fine summer day, tries to break up the fun to no avail.
john and marsha (mark and michelle)-1970 john and marsha (mark and michelle)-1970
Mark used to love to get in Michelle's lap and play John and Marsha, a husband and wife completely overwhelmed by their children, their dog, and themselves.
