Manyong'oments
Variety is the spice of life, so is Manyong'oments, a comedian and musician from the warm heart of Africa, Malawi.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
During high school, a friend of mine suggested something rather odd, choir. I didn't think too much about it and said to myself, 'Ehhh, sure.If I dont like it, I'll just quit.'
To my surprise, I am still singing till this day. A little bit of music theory and experimentation goes a long way.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Multiple times. Its an amazing feeling. High school choir was phenomenal. I even mustered the courage to sing a solo and a duet, at church.
Your musical influences
Unknown P, Big Shaq, Unknown T, Pink Guy, Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa, Robert Chiwamba, Hudson Chamasowa. Onomaetopia, Comedy and Alter Egos also have a special place in my heart.
What equipment do you use?
My tech stack includes: Renoise (DAW) & Audacity. The rest is Artificial Intelligence, Procedural Generation and recording at the studio.
