Maldurin Music
My name is Leonard Kemenani and I am a guitarist, composer and nerd based in germany.
I do have a lot of passions, but the most important ones are without a doubt music and gaming.
Inspired by the works of Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear series) and retro video game music as the likes
of Mega Man, Street Fighter II or Castlevania, I compose heavy, yet catchy instrumental rock songs.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Maldurin is my solo project - it combines music and storytelling.
After my last active band disbanded in 2019, I wanted to become
Independent as a musician, so I started to write songs all by on my own and even created a Fantasy story around them.
With time and practice I became quite good in composing and my Album "All Hail Caranthur" in 2021 was designed to
tell a coherent tale of my Fantasy Story about the rise of an evil emperor with a tragic backstory.
After that I felt that having a medieval fantasy story, instrumental rock music and video game inspiration was kinda too much for me to be brought together in a single concept and now I focus on bringing my music even closer to my VGM-Inspirations.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I have played some gigs with my past bands, as well as a solo musician.
In the beginning it can be scary to stand in front of an audience, but it comes with an incredible excitement!
Your musical influences
My Hero is Daisuke Ishiwatari - known through the Guilty Gear and Blazblue series.
