Mz Honey, formerly known as, Ms.Jazzy, born as Latricia Gilbert July 27, she was reared in New Orleans, Louisiana for several years before moving to Houston, Texas. The determined soultry, inspiring young artist began singing in the church at the tender age of two. Her father Reverend A.C. Gilbert, of Birmingham, Alabama originally inspired her love for music. She was musically inclined and has the voice of an angel. Although gospel singing was the root of her inspiration, she was influenced by Jazz, and Rhythm & Blues artist such as Minnie Ripperton, Stephanie Mills, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, and many more. Her dedication and love for music became her foundation to embrace the music industry as a professional. ************************************************************** She is now working with the infamous Michael Bennett Producer of "Overnight Celebrity" by Twista feat. Kane West, Lenny Williams "Cause I Love You", Scarface "Girl You Know", Z-ro & Trae " In My City", Bon Jovi and the list goes on. She has worked on various projects with such artists as Oliver Scott (formerly of The Gap Band) and The Voices of Joy of Joy Baptist Tabernacle Houston, Texas, Dr. Michael P. Williams, Pastor, Ms. Della Banks(97.9 The Boxx Houston, Tx), ESG Swangin & Bangin Video Extra in Block Party & Club Scenes 1995, Film for Steven Speilberg's Reality Show "On the Lot" produced by Paul S. Baker PSB Productions and directed by Renee Guererro, Fox 4's Prison Break, Special Breed, Three Deep, Nova Kane, Breezey, Hawk (R.I.P.), Crest Mobb, and other local artist. ************************************************************** Mz Honey has performed at several of The Rodney Hamptons Celebrity Basketball Games with such artists as Changing Faces, Whoodini, Men At Large and Scarface, as well as school programs and talent shows. She opened for Howard Hewitt, formerly of the group Shalimar, in Marshall, Texas at the Marshall Civic Center. Her credentials not only consist of singer but also songwriter and co-producer. I always strive for perfection, says Mz Honey. She first signed with Jerrod Records, who also had such artists as Scarface, and Street Military, which didnt unfold as she expected due to legal problems with the C.E.O./Owner. But that didnt discourage her. She continued to sing and perform at various events, which led her to M & A Records where she performed locally with recording artist Malcolm Allen. She still wasnt promoted or exposed enough to the music industry as she would have liked to be and after a years time her contract had expired. Knowing she was a gifted and talented artist, she continued to promote herself locally in hopes to be founded by a major label. ************************************************************** She has since worked with Upside Productions, produced by Tony Hitman Brown, on a project with NOVAKANE who is about to release the single Forever My Lady. Hitman has also produced Showtyme, Cl'Che, Billy Cook, Big Moe, A3, and many more. She is also working with her 15 year old niece BREEZEY on her upcoming album Rated E. She has also had the pleasure of working with Triad Productions with producer extraordinaire Kojack who has produced This is the Way We Ball by Lil Flip, Ciarra, Jokaman, etc., and her own album which is entitled Jazzy Gyrl and the list of projects and artists continue to grow. She has also put together a benefit concert, for her son who was paralyzed in a high school football game, which had over 21 artists who donated their time to perform, hosted by MC Wickett Crickett , headlined by H.A.W.K. (R.I.P.) and sponsored by Gityoloot Entertainment. ************************************************************** Her ultimate goal is to be a nationwide artist and perform with such artists as Patti LaBelle, Jagged Edge, 112, Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, Faith Evans, Blue Cantrell, Tank and more. Her firm belief in her music and herself soars beyond a horizon which holds no boundaries. Through GOD ALL things are possible.

I BLEND IN EASILY!! IF I DON'T KNOW SOMETHING, I MAKE IT MY BUSINESS TO KNOW!! I WANT TO ONE DAY WORK WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME IN THE INDUSTRY AND MADE A NAME FOR THEMSEVES ON BOTH ENDS THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN LIKE DR. DRE, JERMAINE DUPREE, MISSY ELLIOTT, TEDDY RILEY, ETC.... I COULD GO ON AND ON!! I RESPECT THE GAME AS WELL AS THE PLAYERS WITHIN.
