MOREGO is a Downtempo Ambient/ IDM Music Project Which Formed by Iranian Music Producer Mohamadreza Govahi (aka Morego Dimmer, Xerxes The Dark, Nyctalllz, Nahan, Blind Owl, Ostanes) in 2009. MOREGO is Signed Label to Canadian D.M.T. Records. In Early Years (2009-2013) MOREGO Released an EP and a Demo Album Which The Genres Were Neo-Classical and Post-Rock.

In 2013 MOREGO Switched to Electronic Music with a Single Called Quasicrystals. His New Album Called Solivagant will Release on September 26th via D.M.T. Records. Solivagant Mainly is Downtempo Ambient/ IDM Album with a Touch of Chill-Out. Mohamadreza is Famous for his Dark Ambient Project (Xerxes The Dark) and his Experimental Electronic Experiences (Nyctalllz), But MOREGO is a Different Presentation from this Producer.

Band/artist history

In Summer 2009, I decided to make a new project as some of my previous projects /bands were closed (like NaHaN, Blind Owl and Ostanes), and I wanted to experience a more rhythmic and melodic music. At the time, Ive choose MOREGO which taken from my real name for the music project. I started to compose some neo-classical opuses, I needed a female vocal to record the vocal lines, but unfortunately I didnt find a proper one, and I used some VST instead of a female vocal. Then I released a demo in 2011 named Departed Blind Owls. After a while, I started to compose some ambient and post-rock songs, but due to lack of budget the quality was not very good but I decided to release the song as another demo album named Seasons of the Wrong Mind in March 2013.

Xerxes The Dark is influenced by metaphysical phenomenon, alchemy, mystic and scientific issues, It reflects my dark side. But MOREGO is about my life, personal experiences are the source for make music as MOREGO, not only dark and gloomy visions, but bright and somehow beauty things.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Yep, I Played on Tehran International Contemporary Music Festival , TADAEX 2016, Embassy Club Yerevan, ect.
