Major League Productions - CEO/Artist/Producer - ReMI RIP to original members - Nick "Phantom" Smith .. and Gary "Double G" Gilders
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In 1998 ReMI and best friend Phantom started a local rap group called "South Thug". They recorded in the basement of their parents house. Later the group expanded and added other members: Tha Lunitikk, Double G, and Cyrus King. After a few years of recording low budget mixes, they purchased real studio equipment and started Major League Productions. Founding member the Phantom passed away in 2005, and Double G passed in 2006. "South Thug" with only the 3 remaining members then recorded 2 more albums before disbanding in 2008. Tha Lunitikk is no longer affiliated with MLP due to a falling out after becoming a junkie and stealing from friends trying to help him. At this point founding member ReMI began recording solo projects and started working with new artists. Cyrus King is still affiliated with MLP to this day and remains good friends with ReMI. The two have recorded songs together from 2000 to present day. Cyrus King has released an independent solo album and has begun working on his first official MLP solo album executive produced by ReMI.
