MICHAEL DUDDA GRAY
Michael S Gray Jr. was born on March 24, 1976 in the South Bronx. A failed marriage caused Michael and his mother to move around allot. Michael moved until he found a home in St.Albans Queens in the-mid 1980s. The brake up of Michael's parents had an adverse affect on him, he started stuttering at a very young age. Without the proper help, Michael would continue to stutter, and in fact, still stutters to this very day.
As a kid he loved rap music and with artists like Big Daddy Kane, RaKim, and Kool G Rap to influence him, he began his first quest to become a rapper. Time and influences like the late Tupac and B.I.G. would help him develop his own style. The influences that these artists had on Mic Dudda's style were phenomenal. Dudda's flow is definitely something to admire, he may stutter when he talks, but its like flowing water when he raps!!
Dudda the producer came later in his career. His love for music and the influences of such producers as Marley Mal, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Swizz Beats, Dr. Dre and so many others lead him on his second quest, to create his own music!! With the birth of his daughter, Dudda felt he had to make a change. He didn't want his daughter influenced by the explicit lyrics he wrote, whether they were the truth or not. With an ear for good sound Dudda began making beats, but like every great beat maker he had to start from some where. Dudda bought his first drum machine, a Zoom ST 224, from a friend. Paired with a keyboard he began his journey to becoming one of hottest producers in the game. He has since been able to upgrade his equipment, and with that, upgrade his sound!! Programs such as Acidpro have allowed him to produce over 200 hot and different beats, none of which sound alike!! Being a versatile producer/artist, he has beats that range from Hip-Hop to Rock and Roll and everything in between. Dudda has an ear for unusual sounds, as well as the gift to take those sounds and make them into the hottest beats you have ever heard!!
Mic Dudda is just what the rap game has been waiting for, a producer like no other, he gives the people just what they want, something different that they can enjoy!!
