Yo yo wats up??!! its yo boy M.C. Ryoku [or sometimes known as Richie-rich]. Im currently 16 years of age, and im a sophomore at Marianas High School. Richard Ken Arobo Matsuyama. Born November 2, 1992, at Digos National Hospital, in Digos City Phillipines.He is of Philipino and Japanese descent. He grew up around friendly and hospitable people, which greatly affected his personality, made him more friendly and obtain a better sense of humor. Though it seemed like a good place to live, unfavorable events started to occur. He witnessed his neighbor get shot and killed, and a family member getting kidnapped. So his father decided that it was best for them to move out of this place.
Around the age of 9, his father found a job at a place called Saipan. He didn't know a lot about this place, only the fact that it was a territory of U.S.A. and that they would now pursue a new life here. They arrived and he soon went to school, where he faced difficulties because of his language skills. But soon, he learned how to speak proper english and started to make friends. And around this time, He was exposed to Hiphop and urban music. It never really was that big of a deal in his life, only as a favorable pastime.
Then at his pre-teens, he found a talent that amused him and other people. Now he knows it as beatboxing, but then it was just making music with his mouth. He was influenced by friends at school who also beatboxed and by beatboxing artists such as Rahzel, Roxorloops, etc. Through beatboxing, he learned about the other elements of hiphop, which are: Emcee [rap], DJ, B-boy, and Graffiti. He wanted to get into emceeing, or rapping, so he would free-style battle with friends at school. About stupid topics, and just having fun. It wasn't until Highschool that he would start song-writing and recording songs.
During his freshman year in highschool, he met a girl and he started to like her. This would be the beginning of his song-writing hobby. He would often write songs for her, but never got the courage to give them to her. When he finally gathered up the courage to do so, he found out that she already had a boyfriend somewhere else. This would often be reflected in many of his love songs. But he didn't give up, he is hoping and waiting to this day.
Around the summer after freshman year, he bought a cheap microphone and started to record songs onto his computer and started putting them online. Because of the many power outages and load-shedding at that time, his first single was "I hate C.U.C.", which was a parody [funny remix] of the hit song/dance craze "Crank Dat" by rap artist Soulja Boy and was directed at the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation, the power company of the island of Saipan. He noticed then that people actually liked his song, so he started to make more parodies, some of which are; "Balutan Grab n Go", "Got no Gas", etc. And around this time, he also started hanging out with new friends from the village of Susupe, who greatly influenced his songs with their goofy sense of humor.
During Sophomore year in High School, He and his friend/partner Ian Leyco [0netimew0nder] formed an RnB group called Project Genesis, the name would later be changed to . New members joined, including David Ayuyu [2-S], Enrico Valdez [Eazy Fuzion], and Abby Sarmiento [Lady A]. They are all solo artists, but will call on each other for help and to make music together. Richard and Ian recently planned to make a home-recording studio, and purchased some equipment including a studio condenser microphone for a total sum of $450. The equipment have not arrived yet, but when they do, we can expect a much higher quality in his recordings. Around this time, he also started performing at school events such as October Fest and Pep rallies, which gave him a bit more popularity, but he's still the same big-headed chubby, lazy Japino that he always was. So there you have it, the long ass biography of the short life of Richard Matsuyama, AKA Richie-rich, AKA M.C. Ryoku.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, I do play live sometimes, at venues such as School Pep Rallies, school carnivals, Dances, and Talent shows. Hoping to get more gigs with a bigger audience.
