I'm an up and coming beat maker and occasional MC, I concentrate on creating tracks in the hip hop, downtempo/chillout, dance and even reggae genres, I make all my beats on a MacBook keyboard with no specialised equipment and take a lot of time and effort in making what I do, I come from North east england and I'm trying to take my music to the next level and through shares, follows and listens I believe I can achieve this, and please support me through purchases on tracks that you would like to download and keep or even get the license to as this helps motivate me to make more for years to come, once again thank you.
I started rapping at parties about 12 years ago when I was still in my teens, people would enjoy letting me spit over instrumentals and as the night went on it would keep on going, from there I progressed to rapping over beats with other like minded people in amateur street cyphers and freestyles on the streets of durham, I then started to make my own lyrics and beats with more of an established flow and rhythm, interest started to pick up gradually and I developed a YouTube channel where I would share my music and other artists, I make beats and have always made them on basic equipment including laptop keyboards and basic MPC's, I invested in a proper microphone about 7 years ago and eventually had some interest from a label where I signed my first online contract but never really hit it off, but this didn't put me off and I continued to make tracks more concentrating on my beats and sort of left the rapping alone for a little while and that takes me to today where I have over 200 recorded beats and tracks and through sound click have had my first monetry sales which I was very pleased with as this makes me believe what I'm doing is good and should continue with it. And as for the rapping, I still make plenty of lyrics with good flow with a big intention of releasing them over my instrumentals as soon as I invest in another microphone and midi setup as I sold my last one to get some quick cash.
The only experience in front of crowds I have is amateur cyphers and party freestyles, nothing major, no festivals, I have sung karaoke in front of crowds but never rapped any of my own stuff but would love to and hopefully would be able to pull it off.
Some of my heroes in terms of music include Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, Pete Rock, KRS One, and more up to date artists like Larry June, Cardo Got Wings and Payroll Giovanni.
I use a MacBook Pro keyboard for all my tracks and have used laptop keyboard for just about my whole musical career so far, there was a point where I had a small basic MPC and I also had a recording microphone, M-Track midi interface and a pop shield and stand etc.
I would love some more support and listens to my music as I believe its time to take my beats and tracks to the next level and feel I contribute enough to the industry for me to have some limelight, any purchases on sound click are greatly appreciated and mean I could afford some better equipment for future projects.
