Lukalyk, here. Real name is Michael Owusu Acheampong. Born on June 30th, 2000. All I can say about me for now is, I'm obsessed with making remixes, which I can only do for now. So you can call me The REMIX dude.Band/artist history
It started in around June 2019 after I listened to Alan Walker's Faded. It caught my attention right away. I had started learning piano that same year so I wanted to know the chords real bad. Going on YouTube, I found out about FL Studio and then started watching its tutorials. In November that same year, I officially began to make music. Though it was horrible compared to now but I'm glad cos I know I've progressed a lot. It was tougher than I had imagined when I began. I met many other upcoming bedroom producers on the way up but many of them just stopped along the way saying they can't continue anymore. At a point in time my mind controlled me to give up but an online masterclass I had attended saved me. They said, "Don't think about the fame and money too much. Always remember why you started making music in the first place". So I figured that out that I made music just for the love of it, and that's what has held me up till now.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not really, haven't played in front of an audience before. But if your two little brothers and two niblings count, then yeah.
Your musical influences
To be honest, I can't point to one person. Alan Walker's Faded caught my attention in around June 2019, so I started poking my nose in the music side till I officially began in November that same year. Then Avicii had a very great influence on my style of music, I'd say I owed a lot of my inspiration to him. Along the way, I learnt about Marshmello too, gaining more experience as I learned more about all the artists I came across. Then Martin Garrix surfaced. Illenium is my latest inspiration, I think, with his cool future bass, trap thingy. I've had a lot of influences which I'd say has helped me shape up a path of my own.What equipment do you use?
Oh, I don't use much. Just a home PC and a $2 earpiece.Anything else?
Don't have much to say here though, all I can say is, "To the upcoming producers out there, just know that what comes easy won't last and what lasts doesn't come easy so don't back down just yet"
