Band/artist history
Love for music started at 9 years of age. Started at first as a desire to join Grandpa's mariachi band because I didn't listen to Hip-Hop when I was 9. After a trip to Mexico, I took band (don't judge) & learned to play simple songs withj the trumpet. After elementary school, I started to listen to Hip-Hop while I walked home from middle school. In freshman year, I decided to pursue a rap career, going by the alias No-Kid, & would freestyle to songs that I would hear on the radio. Also met Jigsaw for the first time & almost made a group with him. During summer, the beef started, then died down. Beginning of middle school, beef re-ignited & also met D-Styles, bacc then known as Shane Dizzle. Was going to be in a Warren G diss, but that never took place & beef started. Junior year, bought my first mic, a basic computer mic that I still use (haven't upgraded yet) & recorded my first song, Wacc Rappers (D-Styles Diss). Also released my first mixtape on March 6, 2009, on the streets & on the net. Senior year, working on "Tha Mixtape Volume 2 - Eighteen," ended beef with Jigsaw & D-Styles (whether they want to or not), & also recorded multiple covers using Antares Auto-Tune.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
SO far, I haven't had the chance to perform live. I have done a couple of rap battles but that's been at my school & wasn't really public. I've also done mini-performances for people in the apartment complex where I live.
Your musical influences
2Pac (WestSide in Peace), Snoop Dogg, The Game, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Chamillionaire, Big Punisher (Rest In Peace), Ice Cube, Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne, Crooked I of Slaughterhouse, T.I. (FREE T.I.!!), DJ Clue? (The best f***in DJ on the East Coast), Nas, Cleno Jovanni, & Grandpa on Mom's side.
What equipment do you use?
I use a simple computer microphone, Audacity, at one time using free version of Acoustica Mixcraft 4, and, for a short period of time, demo version of Antares Auto-Tune EFX.
Anything else?
Checc me out on , , and , where I have my covers posted up. Deuces
