The Krusade is not a gimmick. It is a way of life that chooses to pave one's way and refuses to fit the mold of pop sensations, never lean toward the masses, and take it back to basics to then evolve.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Krusade.net is more than just a musical site. It hosts the hit podcast, Friendly Fire and sells my early albums (Journey of a Starving Artist and Kimchi Chronicles with my boy J. Gaska).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I performed heavily from 2007 to 2017. Performing started at live parties and small venues, but the opportunities exploded when I moved overseas. While still crafting, I began other ventures such as acting, teaching, writing, and beat-making. There are countless memories such as performing in NYC, going to the United Nations, and ripping up the stage in South Korea with some very talented acts; but traveling to different countries and making new connections.
Your musical influences
Musically, the styles range from Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Reggae, Blues, R&B, Rock, and especially Hip Hop. My lyrical influences are Pac, Twista, X, DMX, Nas, Snoop, Tech N9ne, Eminem, and so on and so on. Music ranging from merengue to hip-hop influenced me.
What equipment do you use?
To craft my music, the instruments I use my casitone keyboard, akai mpk mini, M Audio Monitors,
