King Gee is from South East San Diego, California. He started of as a local hip-hop artist in 2007 with the release of his LP "Patiently Waiting" which independently sold thousands of copies.
?
However, King Gee been recording music since 1999 and was apart of a Rap Crew in 2002 with rappers from San Diego, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. During this era King Gee was known as Crazy C - Loc. Eventually everyone in the group was giving an audition by "No Way Out Records" in San Diego, California. Every artist including King Gee passed the audition with flying colors. Unfortunately since King Gee was a minor, he couldn't sign the contract without his parents consent, both of his parents declined the offer.
?
In 2008 after the release of "Patiently Waiting" King Gee was contacted by "Sony Records". He was offered to do an audition in Oceanside, California. At this time King Gee was going by the rap name Domin@Quis. King Gee took the advice of his father (manager) and declined the offer.
?
Shortly after releasing the "Patiently Waiting" EP in 2008, King Gee travelled to the East Coast and the Dirty South where he decided to expand his fanbase. Although he was in and out of incarceration, King Gee still manage to release a few more projects such as:

After moving to Atlanta, Georgia he changed his name to King Gee around 2011. He performed nationwide and did features with other underground Rappers from the West Coast, Midwest, South and East Coast.
?
When I started my career as an independent Artist my objective was to be known as an underground Rapper from the streets, and not an internet Rapper from behind the screen. My music is for Real Niggas, I be in the trench of every ghetto from the West to the East promoting my music in the Hood. The problem with internet Rappers is they don't have any streets credibility, so once they blow up they purchase hood credibility. Something I don't have to be concerned about, because I have credibility in just about every region in America when it comes to the streets.
