Kimberly-Chloe is Houston's new Princess of Hip-Hop and R&BBand/artist history
Born in Chester,PA to a young mother of 10, Kimberly-Chloe endured many trials early on in her life and by age 5 was adopted and moved to Houston,TX. Her mother found out early on that although she was a very shy child,Kimberly-Chloe was drawn to music. While she said little to nothing most of the time, Kimberly-Chloe would not hesitate to belt out Whitney Houston in the backseat of her mothers car, or any other song that might play on the radio. Her mother also found that the writing skills that got her so much attention in the classroom also took on another side in the young girls bedroom. Piles of songs written by young Kimberly-Chloe would pour out of folders, notebooks, and cafateria napkins stuffed in binders. After much proding Kimberly-Chloe's mother was able to get the young singer to sing one of her songs. Blown away by the depth of the 10 year olds writing she started filling her daughter with all the knowledge she could learn of the music business at the time.
By the time she turned 14 Kimberly-Chloe was in a singing group, with two other girls, known as EXCLUSIVELY SOPHISTICATED LADIES ONE STEP AHEAD. "ESLOSA", as they were called, was all about female empowerment and not letting the world mold who you are. The group had great feedback from school shows and talent contest with the catchy girl-power song "A Better Player" (written by Kimberly-Chloe), but due to different goals, the group broke up shortly after gaining a strong following. Not to be discouraged, Kimberly-Chloe and her mother decided that she had enough talent and ability to go out on her own.She took on the name Kimberly-Chloe as a combination of both her birth name and the name given to her by her mother after adopoption. This 22 year old is versital and explores many different genres of music. She loves to write songs that are controversial, yet true. Her spirit is definatly as big as her talent. She has caught the attention of several producers and independent record labels in the Houston area, and has gained a strong following among the young women in Houston,Tx.Have you performed in front of an audience?Haven't yet but that is my New Year's resolution.
