Killa-Beatz Productions (KBP)
Killa Beatz Productions (KBP) was founded by two young boys fooling around in a makeshift studio in the summer of 2006. These two boys were bent on creating their very own hip-hop album "from scratch". Using loops from Magix music maker, and a mic bought at the local Toys R' Us, they went to work. In the process of trying to create this masterpiece, they soon discovered that it was a lot more fun to make the beats for the songs than the raps. They soon decided to go into the art of music production. Today these two boys are known "Kid Prodigy" and "Babi Boy".
After about a year, a third member was introduced. Nick Dipietrantonio or "DiPi" attended the same middle school as Kid Prodigy and the two soon became friends and started producing together. All was well until some shocking news came... Kid Prodigy had to move.
Kid Prodigy's family had announced on October 31st that they were moving to St. Louis. This would make it difficult for any songs to be made. The move took about 6 months, and during that time no songs were produced.
After the difficult move the group still found ways to get the job done. Using internet chat utilities such as AIM and Skype made producing a lot easier. Dipi, Kid Prodigy, and Babi Boy all stay in touch daily and create the hits that they are famous for.
Over time the group has built up from two kids playing around with Magix and a toy microphone. Having built up an impressive list of collaborations they are now one of the hottest production teams on the web.
