Is there a nationality 'Hawaiian/Canadian'? Well actually I'm a full fledged Canadian but do love our alternate home in Hawai'i. A Musician all my life, I now finally have the time and am in the right place to get some of the songs I've had in me out to the world, rather than just in my head (are they really in there, or am I in the Matrix?)
Band/artist history
Started at 8, hauling my acoustic guitar every saturday morning for 5 years the six miles to Pender and Davies street in Vancouver to have a Clarinet player teach me music. I believe I may be the only guitar player on the planet that can say that. Spent my teenage years playing in my first band and learning how to play with others. Later moving to Fort St John in northern British Columbia, I played in a number of local groups and then co-founded a Country/Rock group that toured a bit in Western Canada. Following this I've always been furthering my love for music, with most of my attention on the 'love of playing', not the 'business'
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Many, many experiences playing live in a number of different groups, my fondest memories would be of rising stars we met and saw while playing on the road. KD Lang, Blue Rodeo, Powder Blues, and a number of groups that we opened for in Fort St John in the late '80's
Your musical influences
My heroes are Paul McCartney, Mark Knopfler, Elton John and many others, these would just be 3 of my top 20 list.
What equipment do you use?
DAW's ProTools and Reaper, Guitars and such Les Paul, Gretsch, Strat of course, Ibanez Acoustic, Kanile'a Ukelele, K Kawai'i Baby Grand, Korg M1, and others
