My artistic name is Kenny Jason. I am a composer, producer and rapper from Huelva, Spain. I produce my own beats and write my own lyrics. I also sell instruments or produce other artists. Currently I do not earn anything from my own music but I do it for passion.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
When I was a teenager I always listened to metal (thrash, death, black, etc ...) and I loved that dark atmosphere that was created.
A few years later I met American rap and began to explore more and more. I didn't know much English so I looked for the translated lyrics. But what really fascinated me were the instrumental ones, especially those that were darker and heavier than the rest.
When I had a good computer, the first thing I did was to download a sound sequencer and start doing my own things. 8 years later I create my own beats for myself and other musicians.
Your musical influences
As I said, I spent a lot of my childhood and adolescence listening only to metal. I think in my lyrics you can see that satanic and dark influence.
What equipment do you use?
My home studio is very basic, but I think I've learned to squeeze it and get the maximum result.
I use a second generation focusrite scarlett sound card and M-Audio monitors, model BX5.
Finally I have a dynamic microphone shure-57. Commonly used as a live microphone. I know that it would be ideal to use a condenser, but my room is not acoustically conditioned and could pick up more noise than usual. That's why shure is doing very well.
And as for programs, I use FL Studio 11
