To any possible fans of mine , my name is Kelsey Im 27 years old. Iam from New Orleans , Louisiana. I grew up really rough, Im no different from someone who was or is trying to make it in life but my soul is just pure loyalty. My goal is to just be heard
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Im in a better place than I was 3 years ago somewhat , its not the best but Im making it. I am a recovering drug addict and throughout all my pain music being able to write , freestyle , sing & rap is the only thing that kept me afloat seems like. Ive been lead singer of the choir from age 11 on up to an adult. I write my own music and enjoy it so much. I usually see smiles or tears when I get on the mic. Not boasting just blessed to know people like my music and can relate.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes I have , at age 13 I performed infront of Aaron Neville. I sang Shake it Off by Mariah Carey and he looked over at my mom and said Shes got a good voice . That was pretty cool to me. Ive performed several times in-front of a live audience. I love it.
Your musical influences
God is a definite in my life , a hero. My influences are honestly passed away. Whitney Houston is one , Juice Wrld , Michael Jackson , Notorious BIG , 2Pac , Dmx , Yo Gotti , Rod Wave , Kevin Gates ,not all but some. Some more influencers for me would be Sza , Ella Mai , Janine. I know Im forgetting some but I have lots !
What equipment do you use?
I dont mix and master. Im just on the mic. So it would be whichever equipment my or a producer has at that time. I do know I have been mix and mastered with Pro Tools before so of that nature.
Anything else?
I just want to thank SoundClick in advance for letting me express myself. I want to thank anyone who views my music , comments , likes & shares. It means a lot to me already and I cant wait to see where this goes. I am very versatile I can sing almost any genre of music from R&B to Country to Rap to Pop and so on. That is whats unique about me. Just staying focused and staying blessed and highly favored and flavored. Thank you everyone for this and I hope Im loved and liked.
