KAPSES
KAPSES is the band around singer songwriter Alexandros Kyrkos.
In 2013 we appear as duo:
Alexandros Kyrkos (guitar, bouzouki & vocals)
Kostas Gianakopoulos (guitar)
We make interpretations of rock songs, get inspired by traditional music or Greek classics like Chiotis and Vamvakaris. We have a lot of influences from gipsy-jazz to Latin, Greek and Balkan. Our own songs are contemporary ballads. Vocals are Greek.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
KAPSOURES started in 2009 as an electro-acoustic duo. Members of the band in 2009 were:
Alexandros Kyrkos (guitar, vocals)
Kostas Giannakopoulos (guitar)
A lot of musicians join us for short periods and a few conserts.
We played then Greek pop-rock with latin and oriental flavors.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Caffe's and small concert halls in the Netherlands.
Your musical influences
Rock 70's, Greek rock, R&B, Southern rock.
What equipment do you use?
Mostly acoustic instruments. Small PA or an AIR amp.
