I wrote my first album on a whim. It is called "CONSTELLATIONS." I had no plans in particular to do an album. I simply had the tune "LEO" in my head and as I began to write it down only then did I consider creating a whole body of work. All of the songs are new and original but this music feels old, as if from another era. To be honest I wasn't sure if anyone would like or understand the music but I felt compelled to do it anyway. I wrote all the lyrics. I also played and arranged instrumentals myself. Then I, along with two girlfriends did the vocals. I was not sure what I was doing or how it would turn out but I just felt driven to do this project........It was like this album was just "Born!" I wrote all the lyrics in two weeks and did all the instrumentation in less than a month before I went to the studio. I would like to thank Elizabeth "Liz" Johnson and Sara Ransom Hilson for there outstanding lead vocals. I would also like to thank Jerrica Jefferson for her background vocals. I have always loved Natalie Cole. Because of her rich musical background she, in my opinion, is one of the few artist that bring real class and substance to the stage. I always go to see her when she comes to Atlanta. I'm always impressed by how sweet and strong and crystal clear her voice is. My dream would be to have a artist like Natalie Cole do a piece of music that I have written. I wish I could boast about education and my vast knowledge of music but its none existant! I'm just a regular guy with no formal training of any kind that picked up just a little here and a little there on the piano that's trying to share what I have been given with the world to the best of my ability. I would like to convey to the well trained writers and musicians of excellence not to be music snobs. Not all great music come from great institutions and meticulous hands, sometimes it just comes from great people!Anything else?
