Rock General

I started playing in the early eighties. Bought a new Juno 106 in 84 and had lots of fun with it playing out and recording with my friends. Many of those friends have gone on to produce TV and radio commercials and some are selling their CD's all over the world. Very talented musicians and composers such as Jeff Pence (Blessed Union of Souls), Art Elswick, James D Gilmore, Brett Parker (SSG) and so many others. Today I continue to play and record with these life long friends. I am on several CD's sold on the net and I'am glad that I was able to be a part of their success. . Thanks for stopping by.
Band/artist history
Started playing with a couple friends in 84. That's when I bought my Juno 106 new. I had read that the Juno 106 was used to create most of the sound effects in Star Wars, but the sounds the board could produce, with the awesome chorus strings, along with it's ease of use, light weight- colorful design and feel....well, I knew I had to have it. Then there was Allegience, Bad Attitude, Left of Center, Class Act, and a couple others along the way. Then off the stage an into the studio with Art Elswick, and James Gilmore. I have been the only keyboardist on all of James D. Gilmores CD's since 1992 and we are working on another project currently.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play out if I get the invitation, but mostly is in the studio.
Your musical influences
Eagles, Bad Company, Def Leppard, Greg Hawkes of the Carrs, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and a lot of others.
What equipment do you use?
Gear-Roland, Ensoniq, Korg, Peavey, Kustom, Fender, Ibanez, Biamp, Shure, Proline, Whirlwind Computer- Sonar, Fruityloops
Anything else?
I know it's easy with all the technology out there today to want to produce complete albums on your own, which is fine. Buy the workstation and make it all at home and put it on the net. Don't have to fight and argue and drag all that equipment around and you don't have to share the profits but don't miss out on the best times of your life when you get started in this business. Getting together with others and making music as a group, playing out on stage, has been part of the best times of my life. I put off College for a short time to do this and I would probably be further in my career if I hadn't but I have no regrets. It wasn't easy, but it was a lot more fun. Thanks to all the incredibly talented musicians I have had the honor to work with.
