Acoustic guitar, Singing and a rap. Who needs drums right? Check it out!

The First Love Song The First Love Song
My first attempt at actually singing a whole song which turned out great. Also the first song I played guitar on. Acoustic guitar and vocals.

It Was Hard (Freestyle) It Was Hard (Freestyle)
With a solid chorus recorded I decided to completely improvise my lyrics on the verses. You won't be dissapointed by this one.

After nearly 10 years of hip hop John Curtis dropped the alias Tequnique and turned to the other genres in his quest to quench his musical thirst. John is at home with an instrument in his hands. He seems to have the ability to use any mode of making sound after only a short bit of practice. He approaches music one song at a time giving him the ability to learn to play by ear and what sounds good rather than mastering the technical aspect. Since music is best played with soul and not robotic fingering this approach seems to keep his music sounding very grass roots and origional. To putit into metaphore John Curtis is a small brush fire waiting for that strong gust of wind to expand his existance. Only time will tell what is made of this young budding artist.
Band/artist history
- Founding father of the short lived hip hop group V.I.C.E
- One member of the hip hop trio Konques
- As a solo artist known as Tequnique recorded over 100 songs (actually numbers skewed by loss of songs and numerous rough drafts that never made it to final copy)
- Singer/Songwriter in a rock duo called Rock Statik which was looking for players before disbanding to move to different locations(May get back togather in the near future)

Hope all is well! Hey, if you get a chance, I have a 4 song CD coming out. It has a bit of a Latin feel to it. I will be putting up the four songs over the nxet month or so. Come say hi!
Hey John. I like the raw quality of "Alcoholic".
Catchy in a real rock n' roll way.
It kind of reminds me of the replacements.
"Rover come over" is a really good idea. Acoustic rap!
I've enjoyed listening!
My new west coast friend, I think this is a great tune. I love the real in the lyrics, and that's important I think (write what you know). I have a good friend called Fresh I.E. (Juno nominated rap/R&B artist) who I think would love this. I'll send him a note to check it out.
Later dude!
