Joan Minnery is a one-woman force of inspiration. She is a genuine go-getter with an indomitable spark plug of contagious effervescence. The pint-sized energizer bunny is a beacon of energy as a Vocal Coach/Musical Educator at the SiNG iT Music Studio, where she instructs an arsenal of aspiring singers and musicians. Shes known around Brantford as the Elvis Lady; the little gal with the big voice and the indomitable spirit of goodwill. Originally hitting the spotlight as a dancer and then as an Elvis Impersonator; Joan has evolved into the effervescent champion of the performing arts and one of the most popular entertainers in the City.
Joan tours extensively with her band SIVLE -- an Indie Rock Band and she is also a very busy solo performer. Joan entertains several times per month in her solo showcases and with her motivational shows, yet she soars highest when performing alongside her son BILL in their band SIVLE. Their Soft-Rock band is comprised of Joan on lead vocals, Bill on lead guitar/vocals, her brother bigEZbob on Rhythm and their family friend Dan Taylor on drums. SIVLE has also released 5 original songs and garnered a great deal of respect and following on the Indie Charts and Radio Stations.
Joan was nominated for the 2017 Order of Ontario!!! She is also the Diamond Award Winner, Best Professional Entertainer -- Readers' Choice Awards!!
Joan directs and performs in 3 musicals per year with the Brantford Cabaret --- her musical theatre workshop of small children and adults.
As the 2018 Recipient of the Mohawk College Alumni of Distinction Award; Joan wears many hats as Music Educator, Drama Coach, Professional Entertainer, Motivational Speaker, Line Dance Instructor, Song & Dance Instructor, Zumba Instructor and Health Journalist.
Joan is also a published author of the bestselling book, WALKING MY WAY BACK TO ME, her personal transformation autobiography.
Joan has been nominated 5 times for the Brantford Citizen of the Year. She is the recipient of both the Queens Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals for Community Volunteerism, Health Advocacy and Leading Young Children towards Music.

I've been performing since I was a little girl. It was always about ELVIS from the very beginning and along the way grew into a massive respect and love for Country and Folk music by Joan Baez. As I grew that also morphed into Musical Theatre and Movie Show Tunes. I grew up in a small theatre company in our home town and that broadened my horizons. I started in the music business predominantly in 1993 shortly after my brother John's death --- as did my brother Bob and my sister Anne. It was our way of coping. While my professional career began as a dancer, singing was something that always came VERY easy to me, whereas dancing was a talent I had to work at.

Thousands of shows, way too many to ever figure out and definitely over 500,000 people entertained.
