Growing up in an unsafe environment JMissy took it in consideration to start rapping at the age of 13. It wasn't nothing that automatically came with her, she found herself writing music after she discovered her oldest sister Tan knew how to rap. Not only surrounded by an upcoming artist in her family, she took charge of the pen herself after hearing several classmates at school.
