My history is pretty normal. I started playing guitar in 1979 and was hooked. In 1990, I wrote my first song and eventually recorded it with some friends, Tory Schaefer, Chris Roskowinski, and Chad Leibel. Our producer is Randy Gildersleeve of Forest Lake. The song was Hold Me Tonight. From there, I went on to record 8 more songs, a couple with the same group of guys, some on my own. All produced by Randy. All songs were written by me - Jeff Robischon. I did lead vocals as well.
I was influenced primarily from 50s and 60s music. Elvis was a big influence, Ronnie Milsap, Johnny Cash and so many more.
Yes - some special moments. Winning a talent show in St. Cloud during college. Playing at the church picnics with the guys. One fond memory was playing with my drummer Chad Leibel in his parent's garage. It was so much fun. Just him and me. Loved that.
Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Ronnie Milsap and so many more. Loved 50's and 60's music. Very broad mix of influences overall. My playlists have everything from Opera to Country and some hip/hop.
Currently I use my Yamaha SJ 180 that I got as a Christmas present in 1979. I've also used Seagull.
Take a listen. I'm a song-writer first and foremost. I hope you enjoy this album.
