I love music. I've been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and along the way I sang everything from old folk songs to rock and blues.Today I make a living playing a mix of Folk/Bluegrass and Celtic music venues around the US. I write a lot of the music I sing and I play banjo, guitar and harmonica. I have endorsement from Larrivee Guitars.Band/artist history
I've been making a living by performing since Jan 2000. I've released 10 albums, 9 of which are still in print and playing on broadcast radio around the world. I work with a band sometimes and a solo. I play for Folk/Bluegrass events, as well as Celtic and sometime Civil War history events.Have you performed in front of an audience?Last year, I played over 150 shows, in fifty cities, in a dozen states. I love playing music but I love being home in Dallas TX - so I try to keep my travels short.
Your musical influences
My Folk/Bluegrass heroes are Doc Watson, Ricky Skaggs, Tony Rice, Norman Blake - but I love Bill Monroe, J.D.Crowe and Flatt and Scruggs. I'm also a fan of Allison Krauss.
I love acoustic guitar and banjo. I play with fiddle, mandolin and button accordion in the band as often as possible and of course bass (preferably upright). What equipment do you use?
Larrivee Guitars, Deering banjos, Lee Oskar harmonicasContact
