We randomly composed waiting for a Uni lecturer to turn up to lesson. We kept going until they turned up, the fact that it's the same throughout is what makes us laugh, we weren't allowed to stop until they showed up! AAHHHH :D

Hi, this site is all about Jarff. An individual musician favouring Theatre/Church organ, Guitar, Alto Saxophone, Piano and Irish Whistle who composes all his own music through overdubs one by one, into a computer sequencer using various sequencing and sampling techniques applied through digital and analogue media.
Band/artist history
Started in a band called Bloo Loob in 1983, Jarff then evolved into an individual solo artist, overdubbing and composing his own work using old analogue 24-track tape machines in 1986, (his favourite is heard in Kerrang magazine (c) to be the Otari MTR 90 analogue tape machine). He moved swiftly on to compose "Tintagel" in 1996 which reached number 1 in Slovakia, Northern Scotland and the Isles of Malanoose, and remained the top song to play at the "Left Cock Inn" on the Duke box, until it was beaten by "Bob The Builder" - "Mambo No 5" 15/9/2001. Then "Another Life" was composed, decomposed and then recomposed into an awe-inspiring 32 track overdubbing session which he locked himself away for, for three weeks. They say his skin never did turn back to normal... Going back into education Jarff then studied a 2-year BTEC National Diploma in 2005 where he attained a triple distinction grade in Music Technology, (he actually managed to get distinctions in every single module, as well as attaining further qualifications:- Key Skills levels 1, 2 and 3 and two Open College Network qualifications). Now he studies at the University of Glamorgan studying an undergraduate Bsc(Hons) degree in Music Technology where he hopes to gain a first and move on to a Masters degree, before moving into teaching.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Jarff has played live a few times, albeit on rare occasions. It is said he prefers to play and record in professional studio environments, where all aspects of sound can be monitored and controlled to enhance the rich flavour of music.
Your musical influences
Jarff had no musical influences he arrived into the music industry at the time music was just starting to form into it's own shelled case, like a circle, flowing, moving around and around in a circular shape, harnessing the good energy and blocking out the bad... harnessing good--blocking bad, good--bad, like a circle, flowing, inside.
What equipment do you use?
Contracted for major labels Jarff has worked with a lot of professional equipment in his day, from small SoundCraft Ghost desks running into Tascam DA-88s, to large Audient desks running through Otari 24 track, 2" tape machines, and even Pro Tools HD.
Anything else?
Make sure you visit regularly as this site is updated weekly, and do leave a comment even if it's just to congratulate on all Jarff's hard work in creating this amazing work.
