Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play where and whenever possible and enjoy it very much! The schedule is maintained as well as possible on my site, SunflowerTones.net . High on my list would be playing for "glory and veggies" at the many farmers' markets around Cincinnati, OH., Coffee houses, WolfCreekHabitat.org, MusicCafe.org, you get the idea.
Your musical influences
Solo Native Flute music without synthetic sounds, closer to the sound outdoors in the 1800s is my favorite "place". Always listening to R. Carlos Nakai's, Mary Youngblood, Jim Sims and other players' recordings, plus the wide range of music in my iTunes collection. Ethnic music will get at least one hearing, no matter what it is. Peaceful, meditative, calming , spiritual music of all kinds. Most classical music, music used in the Northern Exposure television series.
What equipment do you use?
Large collection of wood, river cane and sunflower stalk (!) Native Flutes. For performances with a sound system, it is Mackie all the way.
Anything else?
The next project will include influences from Tai Chi study and a trip to China. Look for it!
