J TONE
Fleet Force is the team.. J TONE is me
Just a poet-mcee speakin freely, new style hip hop music from the soul, to stimulate ya mind and uplift ya spirits.. somethin righteous you would say that was Justice Wrightus..
I use a lot of instrumentals put out on the internet, and everything i put back out on them is free.. sometimes im not even sure who makes the beats i use so holla at me and ill gladly shout out whoever deserves credit.
Ive been tryin to use original beats more often now, plus dibble n dabble in makin a few myself...
Band/artist history
I've been writing and freestyling since late in 98..The Fleet Force has been together since then as well..we got our own styles and kind of do our own thing but we pretty much all come from the same place so we always gonna be tight together.. we got Cinder, Kayo, Young Woozi, Zai Xuda, Flame, and yours truly for the mcees in the crew.. the list goes on with other friends and features of course but we are all open to collab with as much musical minds as possible
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Members of Fleet Force perform from Boston up the east coast to NH and Minneapolis.. and anywhere that appreciates good music
Your musical influences
Everything and everybody around me.. family and good friends.. Im just introducin the new generation of hip hop; speakin on true feelings of everyday life from the perspective of a ambitous musician changing the world, enlightening good messages, positive vibrations and deep substance. Im always open to variety in concepts tryin to make each track different and stand on they own. At the end of the day, music is purely a release therapy for myself and thats why i do it...plus it just feels good to make somethin and be able to say you did it.. I try to create lyrics that are vague and can be interpreted in more than one way... the stories behind my verses are usually personal experiences but i try to leave the messages broad enough so people can relate and hopefully really feel how deep every interconnecting word is.. and just zone out and vibe wit it...
a few of my musical influences are: nas, stack bundles, jay-z, biggie, pac, bone thugs, big L, lost boyz, eminem, canibus, immortal, krumbsnatcha, lox, ludacris, dipset, the wu, bootcamp, weezy (no auto-tune), jill scott, erykah badu, lauryn hill, the roots, blackstar, rakim, az, outkast, playa, damien marley, bob marley, the doors, led zeppelin, pink floyd, jimi hendrix, van morrison, neil young.. the one man band.. stuff like that.
What equipment do you use?
some low-quality stuff in the home studi right now.. just keepin on creatin more music, rough drafts, practice sessions and just wreckin the mic and shit.. ill leave it to the producers to handle the professional quality sound.. get at me!
Anything else?
open ya soul.. free ya mind..
