J.L Humphrey (Singer - Song writer)

Im a solo artist/song writer who loves nothing but to make good music. Im willing to work with anyone who has that same mindset. I can write to pretty much anything, and do believe that if u believe that good music is still alive, you can keep it going.

Raised In Toronto J.L Humphrey (Born as Jermal .L Humphrey) was raised in a musically influenced surrounding with church and his family members all being lovers of music, J.L developed a love for singing at the early age of 9 years of age. With the help of amazing singers such as O'neal Watson, Shanelle Morgan, Nevon Sinclair (members of Sharon Riley's Faith Chorale)and many others from his church West Toronto Church Of God. With the guidance of more experienced singers guiding him along the way, J.L quickly grew to learn the feeling and expression behind ones vocal performance. After singing for about 6 years at his church and going out to sing at other churches and talent shows, J.L developed a sense of writing, a line that he states is "Music today has lost that quality that was there so long ago, and hopefully I can bring it back one way or another." And with writing songs such as "Special" and "Dedicate" and co-writing songs such as "Oh Jesus" and "Your Love" all produced by Producer for PositiVibes Ent. Genesis, J.L seems to be on the path for bigger and better things. "All I can do is ask God for his blessings everyday and thank him for the ones that he's already given unto me." Being raised in a christian house hold, J.L is a strong believer in God and intends to stay close to what raised him as a singer, which is gospel music. As he continues to persue music and write songs, J.L is willing to work with any other artists, producers, beat makers etc. who want nothing but quality music.

I have sung live at various talent shows and other events around the city and some events overseas in Jamaica and the states. I could pick one that was most memorable because they were all memorable at the end of the day.

And cant forget the best singers, my gospel legends/greats Mrs Shirley Cesar, Donnie Mcklurkin, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Kirk Whalum, Tonex And many, many more from all these genres and more.
