JAMES WEST THE BLACK COWBOY

THE BLACK COWBOY wrote his first song at 11 years old. after experiencing his first beef with local drug dealers behind a debt incurred by a very close family member. being exposed to this lifestyle at an early age he remained in the streets leading to many arrests and run ins with the law. in 1999 his involvement in the streets began to catch up to him. he was shot 5 times with one bullet hitting him in the eye stopping two inches from his brain and causing him to lose his left eye. angry and boiling with revenge landed him his first stint in federal prison after being pulled over and charged with poss. of a fire arm by a convicted felon. citing his long record of weapons charges he was picked up by the ATF and sentenced under the project exile law. 2008 his lifestyle would once again have him in a volitale situation scuffling with two thugs and with the returning to shoot him in the back leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. although he has lost the use of his legs he has not lost his charisma or swagger and would like to spread the word to the younger generation through his own mistakes in life and his music that there is higher learning in education
