J0E R0BINSON
I grew up in a family of musicians and started my journey in the eighties, first writing songs and singing and later picking up a guitar. In 1995 I recorded my first album "Train of Tears" with my band PHOENIX at Ultimate Music Studios that was engineered by Grammy award winner Lonnie Park, and shortly after the band folded. Over the years I've played with many talented players and bands, but bands came and went and I got tired of starting all over again with every new project so in the end I decided to go it alone.
The three releases, Faith, Heart of Stone, and My Technology are a culmination of my writing while I was away. I released them all at once as both a reintroduction and also as a glimpse of what Im capable of as an artist. My way of saying Im back and ready to continue the journey I started long ago.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes a long time ago.
Your musical influences
Kiss, Judas Priest and Twisted Sister in my early years, but at the same time I also liked REO Speedwagon, Orleans, Styx, Little river band, The Eagles and Journey too which I think reflects in the variety of songs I write.
What equipment do you use?
A Charvel journeyman, A Fender electric acoustic, Line 6 amps, A Washburn bass, a Yamaha Keyboard, Drums from machine or computer.
Anything else?
Well besides the fact that its just me? What makes me different I think anyway, is that Im all about the songsnot record deals nor fame or any of that. I try to inspire perseverance in my music. Im completely self-taught which I think gives me a sound all my own. I dont limit myself to one particular sound or style, instead I go where the music takes me. The only thing the same about my albums is me.
