Interstate Traffic Entertainment LLC.
B.F.A MAFIA Entertainment was established in 2005 by Young-Peso, a mid-time hustler from the westside of Detroit,MI. Peso released "The Black Market" In March 2006, the first project from the label, including the hit single "Out Chea Hustlin feat. Cheese" and other classic efforts. Executive produced By Y. Peso, The Black Market went on to sale more than 25,000 copies locally, making a name for the label and young C.E.O. B.F.A MAFIA returned to the local hip-hop scene the following winter after a 9 month recess due to Felony charges and 6 month jail sentence for C.E.O Young-Peso. Pe' (nickname short for Peso) soon found critical loss as a result to pressing the bunk and awaiting sentencing for 3 counts of Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance, while being on Felony Probation for previous Distribution charges stemming from a late 2005 bust. Lil Zo, Young-Peso's younger brother stepped up and kept the label underway as if Pe' were there. Although he struggled to build enough anticipation of a group album "A.B.M Boy$", self- titled, which later became an underground classic with local radio hits such as "What It Is" and "Neva Let My Yay's Go". The young A&R did his homework and showed he could run the business much like older brother Pe'. Released from state confinement in late October 2006, Young-Pe' was back on the streets and back in his seat! B.F.A MAFIA returned to the studio in the fall of 2006 to record "The Wire: Tap-out Vol.1". It was released by January 2007 featuring Young-Peso, D.E.M, Cro$$, Chee Beezy, Gee of the Hardknocks, K.O, Twinz, and A.B.M Boy$! Selling a whopping 17,000 copies locally, the album include hits like "Make It Roll","What It Is", and "Ride Like", B.F.A MAFIA Entertainment got back on the roll like better than before and aimed to make history! Just hitting the streets from a mild county sentence, Peso set forth plans of new projects and future investments. "The Mafia" as called on the streets of Detroit, was taking on a new look with the collapse of mega group "A.B.M Boy$", departure of "D.E.M", and "K.O's J-Rock". Pe' decided to hit the boards and break solo projects for the remaining artist. B.F.A MAFIA returned to the studio to record Big Street's, 1/2 of K.o, solo debut in late summer 2007. Much like rap icon's "Jay-Z" & "Lil Wayne", Big Street's freestyle flow catches the ears of many and continues to get more deadly. "Brotha From Anotha" was complete by December 2007 and hit the shelves 1-29-08, it went on to sale more than 9,000 copies locally. Peso: " I feel the Brotha From Anotha album was hot deserved better promotion from prepaid promoters. Big Street put a lot of hard work into the project and to be truthful, I'm still promoting the album and will continue to until it gets its respect and checks ya heard." B.F.A MAFIA Entertainment is currently in the studio recording Hollow-Co$t's solo debut "New Jack City" due this summer. Peso: "Hollow is a locally known hungry artist. He expresses his bars in ways i havent seen before, in more recent characters, i would compare him to Freeway of Rocafella. He's originally from Philly, but moved to the great lakes some years ago, so he has that eastcoast/midwest feel."As usual the label is excited about the project and promotion is underway for the project so keep a lookout. C.E.O Young-Peso is also set to be back in the studio this summer to record his second album "The Black Market ll", due out late 2008. B.F.A MAFIA Entertainment, a movement of the underground world, is underway and on the way.
