Hi, I'm Ian. I live in Staffordshire, UK. By day I'm a media specialist, working in video and audio production.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Any musician will tell you it's difficult! I began playing music at about 8 years old and I was writing by the time I was 12. Some songs I wouldn't care to hear again!!
Over the year I've built up my own studio and just write what I would like to hear
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've played in bands since being a teenager and as a solo artist (playing covers). My solo years took me abroad to Spain and Germany, some of those gigs were pretty special.
Your musical influences
Always The Beatles. But I love so many different genres I hope some of all of them rub off at some point. My music at the moment is inspired by prog rock, that shift from ambient to hard rock, sometimes in just one song. Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson of course, plus other artists in that genre inspire me
What equipment do you use?
I have always used Cakewalk software (Sonar), although it's BandLab now. Love the Roland synth plug ins plus an array of guitars and basses
