I Timebomb
This is the third project now...or is it the 5th....well, in terms of solo work it's my 3rd project. Hopefully this one lasts longer. It's called I, Timebomb and is very much an acoustic project, with a couple of covers and a lot of originals.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I play for a band called Riddlez 3, so this is very much a side project. But even though it's a side project in definition, I focus a lot of time and effort on it and I'd say the songs I write are 50/50 for this and the band. I have at least about 20 songs ready to use for this, it's just deciding which ones to use that is the problem.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Occasionally I might make a few appearances around Newcastle city centre, at the moment it'll be a rarity though.
Your musical influences
I love a song with a good beat, I'm pretty open to music if it grips me from the start and has a valid background to it. I love B;link 182, Manchester Orchestra, Brand New, Angels & Airwaves, Alkaline Trio. Their influences show in my writing style, especially music by the likes of Right Away, Great Captain! and Bon Iver - they're massive influences for this project.
What equipment do you use?
I play an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, an Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature and a Yamaha CPX-700.
