Hilbert Space
Welcome to Hilbert Space! Actually it's my space, I just borrowed the name from David Hilbert, a maths giant around the early 1900's; he formulated the concept of what became known as Hilbert Space, which basically extends Euclidean geometric concepts of our standard 3-dimensional reality into any number of dimensions. The elements of an abstract Hilbert space are typically sequences of complex numbers or functions; I really like multilayered sequencing, so some of these songs are my distorted equivalent of an n-dimensional Hilbert Space: lots of complex sequences going in all kinds of sonic dimensions!
This small niche in cyberspace that you've stumbled upon is just another person's journey among the untold millions of us who like to dabble in the musical arts, and I'm thankful to all who have created the incredible technologies that allows us to effortlessly share our audio musings with others, rather than being discarded like "tears in rain" as Roy Batty lamented.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started off with a cheap nylon string guitar my mum bought me when I was about 15 years old; taught myself some chords, and started crafting folkie songs and belting out some tunes. Somewhere along the line I stumbled into playing keyboards in a band and have kind of meandered between guitar and keyboards ever since.
Musical experiences in bands have been focused around pop/rock/blues genres, with an IT career and family taking precedence over performing these days. The technology allows me to easily dabble into the prog/electronic realms that I grew up with, something I never thought I'd be able to do. My musical interests are, like my instruments, split between rocky (band stuff) and synthetic (solo).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Occasionally performed in covers bands over the years at functions and public venues, and with mates doing our own music at venues around town.

Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Brian Wilson, The Who, Klaus Schultze, Jacques Loussier, ELP, Hawkwind, Horslips.
What equipment do you use?
Ivory: Ancient Ensoniq ESQ1 and Kawai K5000W synths, plus assorted MIDI controller keyboards.
String: Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, Maton acoustic guitar
Drum: A Roland TR707 can be heard in the early songs.
Virtual: Windows 10 environment, using Reaper and a potpourri of VST plugins as needed.
