Guy Chris
I hope that you enjoy listening to the music of
"Old Man Chris" half as much as I enjoy making it.
Let's Jam...thanks!
Old Man Chris
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Have been picking strings for thousands of hour over umpteen years. Well, probably more than that.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have played perhaps 100 live performances. All were instrumental solo guitar and all but a few were bar&grill settings in the Texas Coastal Bend area. I love it. I would do it eight days a week if I could. There are few really special moments playing solo guitar for people who are eating ,drinking, and having fun. Most people are nice and you make some tips and its cool. Sometimes you really connect with someone or a group and all of a sudden you're in the groove and its happening. Man that is special! That's where its at.
Your musical influences
I am greatly influenced by all the great guitar players I have heard. Joe Pass, Chet Atkins, Tuck Andress, Martin Taylor, and Lenny Breau are all great examples among the many greats. But there are many artists of many different genres that influence and turn me on.
