Grown Folk
After years of practice, dedication, and patience, Grown Folk, (formerly known as Coalition) reunite to bring passion, pain, and sincerity back to Hip Hop. Grown Folk consists of three vocalists-producers, MR. AL STONE (aka. Leatherface the Master, aka. Soul Brother 2 Beaucoup,), MS AYME (aka Fifth Element, aka. Mahalia Jr.) and DEX B. (aka. Big Gucci, aka. King Dingaling).
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
After meeting overseas while stationed in Germany, Grown Folk have survived tours to Iraq, years of seperation, as well as the usual nonsense that seperated many groups in the past. Grown Folk has continued to keep in touch with and collaborate with former, (and current yet unavailable) members such as L.E.F., Murda Murt, as well as very close friends such as Sonny Brix, Bang Dept., Hassaan Mackey etc.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We would love to collaborate with a live hip hop band, (hopefully not trying to be another version of The Roots) We have to much respect to bite
