Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started out recording tracks with my team "Streets On Lock". My sister and cousin were my main influences. My cousin was the producer for the independent label we started. My sister, brother-law, and a few others were the main writers in the group. I personally started out writing poetry prior to music; then migrated to composing full songs. From there I started producing my own mixtapes and giving/ selling them to fans in the neighborhood. This was before streaming online was popular now all of my projects are distributed online. Once I gained a name for myself I booked a few shows locally. Now I'm getting my degree and looking to open my own studio, learn a few instruments, and start recruiting prospects to the label we started from day one.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Starting out I was definitely nervous. Once I did a few more shows after the first my confidence was enhance and reaching a comfort level got a lot easier. Also, more individuals started to know about my craft and were getting in-tune with the movement. With the right support and practice you can achieve the impossible, in a positive way.
Your musical influences
My influences were and still are to this day Eminem, Snoop, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Nas, & Biggie as far as the rap genre. Now a days Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, G Herbo.
What equipment do you use?
I'm currently utilizing Garage band, Logic Pro, & Pro-Tools for a majority of the projects produce. I've recently started working on Ableton Live so we shall see what I'm able to develop with the utilization of the program.
