Geno Becker
Song by Richard John-Riley. This in response to Richard's request for lead break interpretations. Here's my take on it.
TDPRI Backing Track Challenge; I used one of my 2009 PRS Custom 22s on this. Other equipment was a POD HD through a USB interface to Garage Band on an iPad.
The guitar on this track is the Gibson ES-3399.
This track contains six sections--forcing me to change horses in mid-stream and come up with something that fits each musical context. More of an experiment with six separate little songs rather than a single composition. PRS C22 on this track.
My take on the classic theme song written by Neil Hefti for the 1960s TV series Batman.
My take on jazz great Johnny Smith's classic surf tune by The Ventures. I used a custom Jazzmaster on this track. Book 'em, Danno!
Custom Stratocaster through a Princeton with plenty of drippy reverb and a sprinkling of delay.
Loungey-sounding groove with a Dano baritone and A PRS Custom 22. Since this sounds like a sleazy band from a film noir bar scene or a David Lynch flick, it needed an appropriate ending.
A quick take on my version of the solo for Stairway, clams and all.
PLEASE NOTE: this is not stems from the original recording. This is Rick Beato and friends recreating the solo section from the tune. Download this track, drop it into your DAW, and have at it. Here's Rick's original video: https://youtu.be/1cOosn
Equipment List: (1) Danelectro baritone , and (2) Coffee. Apologies to Santo and Johnny.
Noodling on a Guild X150D Savoy to a backing track. Enjoy the clams!
I used the Cort Pagelli on this track.
What sort of crazy person plays a pointy Gibson Flying V on a super chilly tune like this? Me!
Re-work of the previous tune that has the heavy distorto guitar section in the middle. I mellowed out the middle section here with some harmony guitar lines to create more of a 'floaty' feeling than the harder-edged sound in the previous version.
Every folk hero needs a song about them. This is about Big Clive, a Youtube personality that has a very interesting channel. Celebrity Voice NOT Impersonated!
