Band/artist history
Gary Trovato is a singer/songwriter hailing from Melbourne, Australia. He is best known for his work with the Hard Rock outfit, Supercharger (active 2001-2007). With Supercharger, Gary released the critically acclaimed albums Vision for the Blind (2003) and Reckoning Day (2006). The latter featured the Australian MP3 chart toppers "Make It Back" and "Jaded", and saw Supercharger headlining sold out shows at The Palace and the Hi Fi Bar. In addition, Gary has written and recorded songs for numerous movies and television shows. Some of his notable achievements include: - Writer & performer of "Make It Back" which was used as the theme song for Melbourne TV program, "The Sauce" and also featured in the movie, "Scary Legends". - Singer of Jesus Cant Skate and Rolaboi which featured in the movie Jesus Cant Skate starring Melissa George. - Writer of the theme song for the Australian television show Vocal Art TV - Winner of the 2004 Vocal Art Studios Perpetual Trophy In November 2007 Gary began work on his much anticipated solo album, "Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell". This thought-provoking and hard-hitting concept album explores the hypocrisy of religion and how it is used to instill fear in the masses and wage wars in the name of an imaginary God. Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell will be released in March 2009. Gary will be touring with his new band, "Angel Down" in 2009 in support of the new album.
