GODSPEED (SC)

GODSPEED. They are a 4-piece christian rock band from Aiken, SC and they've proven since April 2007 that they're a force to be reckoned with...

GODSPEED is known for their catchy lyrics, fun guitar riffs, and high energy shows. When GODSPEED first started in April of 2007 Adam was 16, Blake was 15, Will was 15, and little Brandon was only 13. Since half the bands in the area that are worth taking serious are in their late teens or early 20's, GODSPEED persisted to impress everyone with their skilled instrumentation and comfort on the stage.

Since April of 2007, GODSPEED has improved and has played with local artists such as Tito’s Gone to Miami, Point Blank, Eleventhour, Jetadore, Carey Murdock and many other locals. In May of 2008 GODSPEED managed to book a show with nationwide heard band Sequoyah Prep School (Atlantic Records). GODSPEED has traveled all over Georgia and South Carolina to play shows, trying to spread their music and ministry.

After seeing the need to have quality recordings, they decided to give the studio a shot. During their period of recording GODSPEED worked with big name producers such as Lane Johnson (Featured on Relient K’s new album “The Birds And The B-sides”), Matt Goldman (Underoath, Cartel, Third Day, Casting Crowns), Matt Malpass (Marigolds+ Monsters [owner]; Relient K, Lydia, Copeland, Rookie of the Year, Magnolia Sons) and Jeff Malpass (Marigolds+ Monsters). After working hard in the studio, their worked paid off with GODSPEED's new EP, “Word Travels Fast EP.”

Beyond the music is something greater. GODSPEED has to remind theirselves that with every strum of a guitar or every beat of drum, they are doing everything they do for Jesus Christ. GODSPEED knows that God gave them their talents to glorify his name. Each member in GODSPEED is an active member in his church.

Within the course of year GODSPEED has had some good times, met some great people, and played with countless great bands. But in the end, all GODSPEED is, are four boys who love God and like having a good time doing what they love, making music.
