Foundation a.k.a. DJ Sunrise

I have been into electronic music since the early 80's and discover the Rave scene in the early 90's and that is it. In Jr. High school I started making tape edits and slowly evolved from that into buying my first DJ set up from a friend along with a Casio CTK510 keyboard and started producing my own material. I try to take the DJ's side in the way that I produce to make it DJ friendly. I have always worked alone, but only because I have not found a person to collaborate with yet. In 2005 I went back to school for music and recording and learned alot more about sequenced music than I would have thought.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
That has already been answered I believe.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
As a DJ I have performed for private events and parties as an artist I have not. This is due to the fact that I like to keep a low key persona.
Your musical influences
There are so many of them. Depeche Mode, Yaz, Pink Floyd, the ORB, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, Tangerine Dream, DJ Spooky to name a few of them.
What equipment do you use?
Right now as a DJ I use a pair of Stanton t-80 turntables, a Gemini 626 6 channel mixer. As a artist I am using Reason 4, for the post production I use Audacity. The new addition is MixVibes DVS Ultimate that I believe I will be able to us on both sides.
