FraNKie Alvarado was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on march 3rd under the Pisces sign. Son of musician and composer Francisco Chalina Alvarado and professor Luz C. Rivera. FraNKie is the youngest of four brothers in which he share also the same name, Francisco. His older brother, Josean Alvarado had the opportunity to be in the music industry as a singer/songwriter, but at this time he remains only as a composer in which some of his creations have been included on Jerry Riveras and Giselle repertoire.
Since early age, FraNKie demonstrated pasion for music, due to he was born with it. He participated in numerous theatrical and choirs from his school gaining lots of recognition. This naturally romantic, canalized all his energy playing sports such as baseball and basketball, but never living what he love the most, music.
He was always an energetic kid, thats why he decides to start writing his own thoughts, experiences, dreams, life in fact many things. Later at the age of 15 he got the chance to audition for the new edition of MENUDO, now called MDO under the command of visionary Edgardo Diaz, reaching all the way to the finalists. Couple of years later now living on the US, he became one of the finalist from the city of Chicago for the new show called Objetivo Fama 2nd season. Keeping his head up at all times ,the following year another casting call was about to take place in the same city, but now for the show la Academia USA and finally achieving his purpose of making the show to compete with the best talented Latin people in the US. During the whole competition, FraNKie remained as one of the audience favorite contestants, making him to reach the finals and to get the sixth place on the competition.
By the year 2007, FraNKie take a big step in his career by collaborating with composer and music producer, Dany Tomas and manager and visionary, Sam Riddle. Tomas has been the creator of many songs for Cristian Castro, Lara Fabian, Diego Torres among many others. Earning him Grammy nominations. While Sam Riddle has an vast experience on television, radio and managed the careers of CHELO and Jive Five, just to name a few.
Since then FraNKie has been involved with figures such as Henry Gutierrez, Andres Pelaez, Ramon Ortiz (leader of PUYA), Isaac Dominguez, Fernando Melchor among others on doing collaborations. By September 2008 FraNKie was selected to be on the new TV Show from Telemundo called Letra y Musica. For this program the company recruited the best talent of singer/songwriters to compete between them, while being evaluated from high caliber judges composed by: singer/songwriters, Amaury Gutierrez and Angie Chirino and experienced PR and Publicist Jairo Martinez ,also with the presence of very talented Grammy award winner composer, arranger and music producer Marco Flores, to work with the contestants. Marco has work with numerous artist such as Ricky Martin, Richard Marx, Barrio Boyzz , Selena, Gloria Estefan, Jordi, Diane Warren, Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Tony Braxton. FraNKie captivated the judges with the freshness of his lyrics and his unique and powerful performances. He was also called up for Letra y Musica, The Reunion to film a Christmas especial.
To this point FraNKie, remains composing, and doing new creations new for his debut, songs with a very strong meaning and message to others while being taken by the hand of Sam Riddle for VMG Entertainment.Have you performed in front of an audience?I love playing live. Its a complete different story.That experience is very rewarding.feeling the people around you and watching you is amazing.Thats the reason you have to give them the best.
