Excogitate
The band plays heavy metal. If you must classify it, the music is somewhere between black metal and metal core with a melodic twist. Yeah, thats the best I can

The band has a new name and a new album. Excogitate is proud to release Lamentations, our heaviest and best effort yet! It will kick your ass harder than ever before! :)
As for the two previous albums! They are heavy, loud, and will defiantly kick your ass! Yet, they are still melodic, have depth, atmosphere, dense layers, and are very interesting to listen too! So, guess what? You should defiantly listen to my albums, especially my most recent self-titled released, "KBK". It is the culmination of almost 6 years of recording efforts by myself and is the first album I am very much proud of. It represents a significant leap forward over the first album, "One" in terms of complexity, cohesiveness, and all around listen-ability. However, both albums still kick ass so please listen to them and comment if you like it!!! Fans are the coolest thing EVER and I love people listening to my metal, even if you don't like it. And if you don't like metal, you should still listen to my metal, because you might just like some of it!
Band/artist history
Excogitate started at as a two man jam band in New Mexico. I would take most of the riff's that I came out of the jamming sessions and then track them onto my digital recorder where I would slowly layer the tracks on one at a time. Usually, drums first, followed by guitar, bass, synth, and finally the vocals. I have since moved away from NM, but continued the project in my new basement.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yeah, once in a blue moon when I can get enough musicians together to play a few songs and a few terrible covers.
Your musical influences
I am influenced by all things metal, and some other bands that don't suck.
What equipment do you use?
Randall Amps, H&K Amps, Fender Bass Amps, Schecter Guitars, Ibanez Guitar and Bass, DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vater Sticks.
Anything else?
yes, go to www.blackfirerecords.com and support underground metal, people!
Thank you. :)
