I used to perform but these days (right now) i've let other things take priority...gearing up for a kinda/sorta comeback, though - 'all in Perfect Time' LOL!
Your musical influences
I am what's known as a 'classic songwriter', so my influences are John Dowland, Brecht/Weill, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, Carly Simon, Carole King, etc. People tell me i remind them of the following: Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Sandy Denny, Kate Wolf, Enya and Jewel (before she crossed over to Country!)
Anything else?
My songwriter-self is a slightly different 'entity' from my singer-self; i.e. i write songs covering a pretty broad spectrum of styles and genres (acoustic, folk, film, pop, ballads, rock and even some country)...i style myself 'New-Age Folk', which is basically a genre I'm trying to define 'with a little help from some friends'!!!
I'm also plugged into the prevailing Hawai'ian style (both traditional and contemporary) of my home-base, which i find is increasingly influencing my native British-based roots.

A different song great world beat song,all I can Say is well crafted lyrics and great music, a nice vocal track, recorded somewhere else than the other 2 I commented on?
